October update

I don’t have a great deal to report with regards to training and my own personal projects at the moment.

Payload is going well in terms of playability, I’ve developed an AI to play against, unfortunately the AI has revealed memory leaks. I’m working to establish whether this is in the projects code or in a dependency – Box2D most likely – unfortunately it’s looking rather like the latter. Worst case scenario, I’ll have to switch to a different port of Box2D, this isn’t problematic at all however it will be time consuming. When I have some more time on my hands I’ll be wrapping this up.

I’ve been doing a rather large amount of customisation and freelancing recently which has taken up time I’d normally have to train or work on my personal projects, so I don’t have a great deal to add to my journal right now. I will be posting about these projects where I am able to disclose information soon. I can tell you I’m looking at this framework for integrating Lumen in WordPress in the context of plugin development for an exciting project I have coming up.
